Refuge – Therapeutic Case Manager (Contract to 30 June 2024) Whitsunday Counselling & Support Inc

JOB DESCRIPTION

Whitsunday Counselling & Support Inc. is a team of dedicated workers in the Whitsunday region who support victims of Domestic and Family Violence, Sexual Assault and Historic Sexual Abuse, and reduce violence in our community through education, counselling and support.  We are seeking a qualified and experienced Practitioner to join our dedicated supportive team of case managers at our Refuge site, to provide therapeutic trauma informed case management for women and children who are escaping and impacted by domestic and family violence.

A tertiary qualification of a diploma or above in either Social Sciences, Social Work or Psychology. 

 

Salary range $41.52 – $49.65 per hour based on qualifications and experience with additional benefits including salary sacrifice available. The position is for 38 hours per week with an immediate start date.

Applicants need to currently hold:

  • A sound knowledge of the impact of domestic and family violence.
  • A tertiary qualification of a diploma or above in either Social Sciences, Social Work or Psychology. 
  • Mandatory to commence employment – Blue Card (QLD clearance to work with children)

Applicants must have a current Queensland Blue Card before commencing employment with Whitsunday Counselling and Support Inc.

  • Eligible for membership with AASW, APS or ACA (or currently working towards gaining membership) is desirable.
  • Experience working in a case management framework.
  • Current drivers’ licence is desirable.

 

The successful applicant will be part of a 24 hour on call roster system.
