Regional Lead New Horizons

New Horizons are a social enterprise who have been supporting people with disability and mental health concerns; and those who are aged, people at risk of homelessness, humanitarian entrants, youth, and Indigenous Australians.
 

We are seeking a passionate Regional Lead to join our team based in the Brisbane, Queensland on a Full-Time, Max term for one year. 

As the Regional Lead, you will drive the service delivery in line with the New Horizons vision for this region. Reporting to the General Manager- Housing & Independent Living, you will lead your team to deliver high quality, person centred and recovery focused services. This will be achieved through mentoring and development of the hub’s leadership team as well as expanding the services of New Horizons through partnering with key internal and external stakeholders.

You will also be instrumental in driving financial sustainability and build strong business relationships.

The day to day

  •  Lead multiple teams within the region in the delivery of contracted services, aiming to exceed customer expectations.
  •  Provide direction, support and coaching to the team and set clear team and individual objectives in developing a high performing culture in your region
  • Establish, develop and manage the strategic and operational needs and future development of services within the allocated region.
  • Identify opportunities and frameworks for implementation of community engagement and education programs through local/regional level, private and government partnerships.
  • In conjunction with Finance and Portfolio teams, manage the contracts, funding agreements and all their deliverables within budget.
  • Liaise with Head Office regarding Payroll, Accounts and Finance, WHS, People and Culture, Service Excellence, Portfolio, Assets and Facilities etc.

What you need to have

  •  Passion, Respect & Integrity
  •  A proven ability to work within and build effective teams, develop culture and build relationships and strategic partnerships with key stakeholders including key government, non-government and community partners.
  • Relevant Tertiary qualifications, postgraduate and/or significant knowledge and experience in a similar role.
  • Demonstrated experience in leading the delivery of a range of services across different locations, including responsibility for service performance, operational and budget management (minimum of 3 years).
  • A sound understanding of budgeting and financial operations
  • A well-developed understanding of risk management and work health and safety practices
  • Technical literacy with proven ability to use Microsoft Office and systems for reporting
  • National Criminal History Check (Police Check) and a Working with Children’s Check
  • Valid Driver Licence
