Registered / Clinical Psychologist ProMind Psychology

JOB DESCRIPTION

About Us

ProMind Psychology aims to create a space where people can learn about themselves and feel relaxed and accepted from the moment they enter.

Operating from comfortable rooms in Mile End just a few km’s from Adelaide CBD with lots of natural light and plants, we have a separate breakout room and onsite parking, making going to work a pleasure.

We change the lives of individuals aged 12 and over.  Pretty cool gig really.

At ProMind, our vision is to:

  1. Ban ‘psycho-babble’ -we don’t need to use technical jargon that leave clients feeling lost (hands up who’s ever felt like that before!)
  2. Use authenticity to help every human we meet learn how to change what they can change, and manage what they can’t.

About the Role

Full-time or Part-time

Your weeks will include 1:1 therapy, with the opportunity to undertake assessments and/or group therapy.  (Training can be provided)

We believe in work/life balance, and as part of burn-out prevention, we offer early start/early finish, and late start/late finish so you’re not spending ALL DAY at work (get off the treadmill feeling – unless it’s at the gym of course!)!

Split shift days free up your morning, or your afternoon and ProMind also recognises that being able to focus on your area of special interest helps to reduce burn-out.

Minimum 3 days is required.

About You:

You are a fully registered Psychologist (sorry – no provisionals at this time) who is Authentic, Flexible, Welcoming, with a sense of Humour.

You are a genuine human who is creative in your approach to therapy who really knows how to connect with people.

You contribute positively to team culture by being willing to share knowledge and support you colleagues.

You recognise that no – you don’t “know it all”, but that is part of what makes you REAL.

You will need the following:

  • A Psychologist with full AHPRA Registration (We start with the obvious as it is expected that holding this title comes with demonstrated qualifications, experience, and professionalism).
  • Experience in evidence based Psychological therapies.
  • A team player who enjoys working as part of a team and will share your knowledge.
  • Excellent organisation skills and the ability to build meaningful rapport.
  • Uses initiative.

Why Join Us?

Apart from the opportunity to work with our beautiful clients, we also offer;

  • Full admin support
  • Supervision with Board Approved Supervisor
  • Variety in your role (for example, group therapy, a variety of assessments or you could be involved in mentoring provisional psychologists)
  • A really wonderful team culture where we all support one another
  • Group catchup’s with our ‘Lunchbox Learnings’
  • Lovely environment and room with lots of natural light and space
  • Free onsite parking
  • A loyal base of referring doctors
  • Established processes & procedures to streamline admin stages of therapy
  • Resources to support your therapy
