Breakthrough Psychology Practice, Sydney, North West & Hills District, 

 

We are looking for enthusiastic and compassionate mental health clinicians to join our team.

In keeping with the philosophy of our clinic, we have two rewarding positions available, for Clinical Psychologist, Clinical Psychology Registrar or a Registered Psychologist that will support you to flourish in your career in a fulfilling and enjoyable manner

What is on offer?

  • Exposure to a broad range of clinical presentations from child and adolescent through to complex adult presentations;
  • Contribute to and learn from our highly regarded Testing clinic (ADHD, Autism, Learning difficulties ID, Giftedness)
  • Receive supportive clinical supervision from the director who is board approved, with 20 years of experience working with children, adolescents, adults and testing and also involved in academic teaching.
  • Opportunity to be part of a valued and caring team. Regular peer supervision, CPD training, external supervision, team lunches, morning tea, self-care integrated into your work days. Opportunity to collaborate through multi-disciplinary teams internal Psychologists, GPs, Paediatricians, Psychiatrists, school counsellors;
  • Providing you the referrals you enjoy working with and or supporting you to develop your niche area
  • Support with developing your own personal development plan – which will help you understand your career aspirations, goals and how we as a clinic can support you in achieving this.
  • Variety in your work beyond seeing 1:1 clients e.g. opportunity to do some Project work, Groups, Corporate training, Supervision to suit your interests
  • Supervision from a Board Approved Supervisor – you will be well supported and receive regular individual supervision and monthly group supervision.
  • High-end administrative and technology support to streamline work and enable more focus on client service delivery;
  • Support for ongoing professional development through funding for approved training;
  • Having a supportive and nurturing workplace culture, having a calendar and schedule that prioritises your well-being.

What the position requires:

  • Working with clients to assess, develop and deliver appropriate evidence-based therapies to help them improve their mental health;
  • Passionate and opent o learning to work with a varied lifespan (children, adolescents, adults)
  • Working beyond seeing clients; Project work, Supervision
  • Collaboration with referring GPs, school counsellors and other clinicians to ensure that the client is receiving the optimal support;
  • Support with the development and delivery of group programs to build mental health skills in the community;
  • A permanent part-time Psychologist (or contractor) 3 days per week, with the opportunity to grow to more days as client load increases;

We are passionate about delivering a high quality service to our clients, as we truly care for our clients. We work with a variety of clients from Children, Adolescents, Families and Adults. We also have a well reputable Testing clinic for Behavioural, Emotional and Nuero-Diverse Children and Adults. Further we have a particular interest in working with Children and Adolescents.

We are a growing practice and have strong links into both local GPs and also work with a number of schools and school counsellors in the area, proving support to their clients and students alike.

Technical Requirements:

Registration with AHPRA as a Clinical, Educational or Registered Psychologist/ Clinical Psych; or
Registrar or 5+1 pathway who is at or close to completion of AHPRA requirements.
Professional Indemnity Insurance and Public Liability Insurance
Have or be eligible for a Medicare number
Current working with children check and police record check
For contractors: have or be able to obtain an ABN/CAN
