Key responsibilities include

  • Developing and implementing individualized treatment plans using evidence-based therapeutic interventions.
  • Providing counseling and psychotherapy to individuals, families, and groups to address various mental health issues.
  • Conducting comprehensive psychological assessments to gain insight into clients’ concerns, strengths, and treatment needs.
  • Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams of professionals to ensure integrated and holistic care for clients.
  • Maintaining accurate and confidential client records, including progress notes, treatment plans, and assessment reports.
  • Engaging in regular supervision, peer consultation, and professional development activities to enhance clinical skills.
  • Adhering to ethical guidelines and legal standards in all aspects of practice.
  • Staying updated on the latest research and best practices in the field of psychology.

 

Essential Criteria

  • Full registration with the Psychology Board of Australia (AHPRA) at the time of commencement.
  • Therapeutic proficiency: A commitment to learning and proficiency in various therapeutic modalities, with a focus on skill development.
  • Passion for assessments: An eagerness to conduct psychological assessments and deliver evidence-based interventions.
  • Strong communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to establish rapport with clients and colleagues.
  • Team player: The ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Professional development: A deep commitment to ongoing professional development and staying current with advancements in the field.
