JOB DESCRIPTION

About the Position: 

This opportunity involves working primarily with clients individually and in group settings in the provision of assessment and treatment services. Be exposed to a variety of clinical presentations, so the work is always interesting and challenging. Use a blend of clinical interventions to treat clients within your own style/approach.

A typical day may involve seeing 6 clients under a variety of funding streams (such as Medicare, NDIS private payers), writing session notes and reports; and administering assessments (training can provided). Opportunity to facilitate groups for DBT or ADHD support is available. 

This is an ideal position for a Psychologist with sound therapeutic experience who wants a rewarding role, across different types of clinical work. The role can be tailored to suit your needs, so we offer Part time or Full time opportunities or secure contracting arrangements, with negotiable hours to enhance flexibility and work/life balance. Your own needs as a clinician are important and valued at Perception Psychology. 

What’s on offer?

* Full time role: Minimum 2 years experience attracts an annual salary starting at $110k – $130k (plus super) or pro rata for part time. 

*Contractor role at attractive fee split, increased over time, approx $130 per hour

* Training allowance & Access to sick leave, long service leave etc if on salary. 

* iPad or Remarkable tablet for all your in-session note taking. 

* Group/peer supervision & professional development budget. 

* Opportunities to do formal assessment work (WISC, WPPSI, ADOS etc) if candidate is interested.

Consult from beautifully presented, French provincial / Hamptons style clinic rooms  

Be supported by full time administrative/ reception support with strong experience in the medical and allied health fields. All your billing, bookings and admin needs covered. 

Work with online software (Powerdiary) that comes with letter templates and much more to streamline your report writing.  

Have some fun with team functions and entertaining annual Christmas Party! 

About You: 

The right candidates for this role will be warm, authentic, competent, organised and motivated; have full registration with AHPRA and Medicare eligibility, 2+ years of experience. Strong rapport building and interpersonal skills. Have highly developed verbal and written communication skills. Strong commitment to ongoing professional development and ethical practice and have the ability to work independently.
