About Tic Tac Toe
Tic Tac Toe Early Childhood Psychology is a newly established private practice located in Ormond. Tic Tac Toe is a neuro-affirming practice that offers individual therapy to children from the early years to upper primary. Our approach is play-based and family-centred.
We offer supportive therapy services for autistic children and their families as well as for behavioural/emotional regulation difficulties and social and anxiety related challenges.
About the Role
- We are seeking a part-time or full-time General Psychologist to be the beginning in establishing a friendly, warm and dedicated team. School hours can also be negotiated for the right applicant. Provisional psychologists in their final year are welcome to apply.
- The role requires individual therapy sessions, assessment and report writing, parent skill training as well as school and kindergarten services. Clients are matched to your interest and expertise.
- There is lots of opportunity to grow professionally, with training opportunities within the practice.
- Strong focus on early intervention and parent support.
- Willing to be flexible in the delivery of intervention in clinic, community and via Telehealth as needed.

- The position will commence January 2024, an earlier start can be negotiated.
- At Tic Tac Toe we are aware of carer burnout and ensure your calendar of clients is four per day. Your admin and session planning time is prioritised, as well as time in the week for continuing professional development.

About You
- You have strong interpersonal skills that allow you to develop collaborative relations with clients, referrers, colleagues and educators.
- Interest in professional development in early intervention. Particularly in the Early Start Denver Model.
- You are flexible in your approach to working with a variety of clients and their families, operating in an individualised way with each person.
- This role can be undertaken by a Provisional Psychologist who has external supervision.
- You value autonomy in your role and are willing to be part of a new practice.
Qualifications & Experience
- Full registration as a psychologist with APHRA is desirable
- New and experienced psychologists welcome to apply
- Experience in conducting assessment and in therapy (preferred)
- Working With Children Check
- Successful Police Check
- Professional Indemnity Insurance
- You have a full, unrestricted Australian Driver’s Licence and reliable access to a registered, fully insured vehicle
