Registered Psychologist – Unique Integrative and Systemic Practice in Bayside Minded Psychology

JOB DESCRIPTION

About Us

Minded Psychology is a unique private practice in Beaumaris that specialises in integrative, systemic, and person-centred treatment of psychological presentations. We have spared no expense in building a purpose built and beautifully styled clinic, that allows practitioners and clients to feel at peace the second they enter. Research has found that our environment has a significant impact on our nervous system, so we made it a priority to create a space that felt nurturing and safe. Our rooms have been built with sound proofing specifications, so all sessions are confidential.

We are looking to add a registered psychologist to our team who would like to work alongside incredibly friendly, fun, and experienced colleagues. Minded Psychology is unique in its practice, as it offers our practitioners with daily opportunities to connect with one another. Considering the heavy work we do, we felt it was important to structure our business model around providing continued learning and de-briefing opportunities. We have done this by setting up weekly supervision, a daily shared lunch time between 130pm – 230pm, internally run professional development, and quarterly team meetings facilitated with a social vibe. Alternatively, work from anywhere in Australia via telehealth. This option would allow you to work from the comfort of your home, while receiving a full caseload of clients, having the support of a multidisciplinary team, and having all administration done for you.

Minded Psychology treats the health issues of clients by investigating the messages behind their symptoms. Therapy at Minded Psychology focuses on identifying unmet needs and helps the client (and where appropriate their family) learn to meet those needs, so long-term healing can occur. Minded Psychology values collaboration amongst our professional networks so practitioners are encouraged to work closely with their client’s ‘village’, including specialists and/or schools.

Minded Psychology uses a person-centred approach (including but not exclusively Emotion-Focused Therapy and Attachment Theory) to help clients improve their level of functioning, ensuring they feel empowered in the process. We look closely at the relationship between the mind and body, so lifestyle factors such as movement and nutrition are also important.

Should you be a successful applicant you will also receive appropriately matched referrals (people and presentations that you love working with) and exceptional administration assistance, so all you’ll need to focus on is your client work.

Minded Psychology administration ensures that each client is allocated a regular session time. This means that you will have a manageable caseload, while also promoting continuity of care for your clients, which leads to better treatment outcomes.

The ideal candidate will be supported to maintain a healthy work-life balance. We value the health of our practitioners as a priority. We believe that if you are healthy and happy at work and in your personal life then you will be best equipped to provide your clients with the very best care. We support breaks and time for case de-briefing amongst your peers.

Your capacity to earn will depend on years of experience and superannuation is paid. Our financial structure allows you to benefit from a group private practice setting, while also receiving remuneration equivalent (if not better) to running your own solo private practice, without administration responsibilities, the expense/stress of running a business, marketing, maintaining referrals, and having to work in an isolated environment.

Minded Psychology offers flexible hours and the potential to increase your client load/days over time.

Minded Psychology will provide the successful applicant with guidance to make a name for themselves in the Bayside community, while working in a team that prioritises practitioner health and wellbeing.
