Job Description

In this diverse role, you will enjoy the flexibility and autonomy to manage your own day. You will have the support of a strong, close team of driven and energetic healthcare professionals with the backing and resources of a global corporate infrastructure. Providing occupational rehabilitation services, and psychological treatment to clients with a range of conditions and outcome goals. Your duties will include:

  • Case management (caseloads are manageable, and our consultants have the support of Rehabilitation Assistants to alleviate administrative tasks) 
  • Applying your clinical knowledge to improve return to work outcomes
  • Working with employers and employees to develop and implement injury prevention and workplace education programs
  • Working collaboratively with injured workers, employers, medical and allied health professionals
  • Providing evidence-based psychological interventions
  • Applying solutions based, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy
  • Completing a variety of assessments using your clinical skills. Including but not limited to Initial assessments to form a diagnosis, treatment plans, psychosocial barriers to employment and Vocational Assessments for injured workers.

Qualifications

Our new team member will have:

  • Tertiary qualifications in an Allied Health Discipline or Health Sciences, with a postgraduate qualification in Rehabilitation Counselling
  • Registration with Australian Society of Rehabilitation Counsellors (ASORC) or Full Membership with the Rehabilitation Counselling Association of Australia (RCAA)
  • Excellent time management skills – be able to work autonomously as well as within a team environment
  • A passion for injury prevention, return to work, and the associated health benefits 
  • A current driver licence and access to their own vehicle
