Rehabilitation Consultant (OT, Physio, EP, Rehab Consultant, Social Work) Generation Health Group

JOB DESCRIPTION

About Acumen

Experts in workplace health, injury management and safety, Acumen (part of the APM Group) delivers the highest standard in services across personal injury and occupational health. The team at Acumen focus on recovery and function to get clients back to work and back to life whatever their age, stage or situation. Our personal injury division provides services through federal and state-based Workers Compensation, Motor Accident and Life Insurance schemes.

What’s in it for you:

As a Rehabilitation Consultant at Acumen, you will call on your clinical reasoning skills and expertise to support people who have suffered from a diverse range of injuries, illnesses or trauma.  Applying your clinical skills in a different way, you will take a holistic care approach for your client and manage their journey from rehab to return to work and return to life, by working with them to develop, implement and monitor their rehabilitation plans.  Working for a national organisation, you will have the opportunity to support clients across a broad range of schemes, including ADF, Department of Veterans Affairs (DVA), Comcare, workers compensation & life insurance.

Unlike other Rehabilitation Consultant roles, this is a unique opportunity to work with the only rehabilitation service provider to ADF personnel, where you will work collaboratively with your clients & their treaters, to get them fully fit and military ready to defend and protect Australia.   Working with motivated clients, you will develop, implement, and monitor their rehabilitation plans whilst having onsite access to medical and treatment providers (Doctors, Physio’s, Psychologist, etc.) for additional direct support.

We’ll work with you to TAILOR a career pathway that meets your career goals. We have a variety of working models to fit your needs and will match you to what works best for you.

Joining a high-quality service provider, you will be SUPPORTED and MENTORED through direct interaction and an extensive onboarding process (incl. ongoing shadowing) to build your technical knowledge and expertise and enable your success.

Part-time options available.

What will make you successful:

  • Current unrestricted registration or membership with the relevant industry body (AHPRA, ESSA, ASORC/RCAA or AASW)
  • Tertiary qualifications in Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Exercise Physiology, Psychology, Osteopathy, Rehabilitation Counselling or Nursing
  • Strong clinical reasoning
  • Ability to engage across multidisciplinary teams to support the achievement of a common goal
  • Passion to help people rehabilitate
