Job Description

We are seeking individuals with a professional background in Psychology / Rehabilitation Counselling interested in working in the occupational rehabilitation sector in Wagga Wagga.

A diverse role, working as part of a driven and energetic team of healthcare professionals providing holistic occupational rehabilitation support. Based on your clients individual outcome goals, provide psychological treatment to clients with a range of conditions

  • Case management (caseloads are manageable, and our consultants have the support of Rehabilitation Assistants to alleviate administrative tasks) 
  • Applying your clinical knowledge to improve return to work outcomes
  • Working with employers and employees to develop and implement injury prevention and workplace education programs
  • Working collaboratively with injured workers, employers, medical and allied health professionals
  • Providing evidence-based psychological interventions
  • Applying solutions based, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy
  • Completing a variety of assessments using your clinical skills. Including but not limited to Initial assessments to form a diagnosis, treatment plans, psychosocial barriers to employment and Vocational Assessments for injured workers.

Qualifications

  • Tertiary qualifications in Psychology or Rehabilitation Counselling 
  • Full or Provisional registration with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as a Psychologist or eligibility for full membership with Australian Society of Rehabilitation Counsellors (ASORC) as a Rehabilitation Counsellor is mandatory
  • A passion for injury prevention, return to work, and the associated health benefits 
  • A current driver licence and access to their own vehicle
