JOB DESCRIPTION

As a Rehabilitation Consultant at Rehabilitation Services by Altius, you will provide a range of comprehensive occupational rehabilitation health, injury management, recovery services and deliver tailored preventative health programs. Altius Group delivers services to individuals, employees, and insurers nationally across Australia, where you’ll be based out of our Canberra, ACT branch. Navigating complex nature of injuries, individuals, work and home environments, relationships, and personal injury schemes – is what we do best!

The role you will be doing…

  • Apply your clinical decision-making skills to improve an individual’s recovery from injury or illness. 
  • Complete return to work case management of Workers Compensation, Comcare, CTP & Life Insurance referrals.
  • Provide holistic support through relevant assessments such as Functional Capacity Evaluations, Workplace Assessments, Ergonomic Assessments and Activities of Daily Living Assessment (ADLS).
  • Collaborate with individuals, employers, medical and other allied health professionals.
  • Develop and Implement recover at work plans, educational programs and conduct case conferences

To be considered, you have…

  • Completed a tertiary qualification in Occupational Therapy, Exercise Physiologist or Physiotherapy
  • Full professional registration with AHPRA (Australia Health Practitioner Regulation Agency) or ESSA (Exercise and Sport Science Australia).
  • Full Australian working rights
  • Ability to obtain a national police check
  • A current driver’s licence and a comprehensively insured vehicle
