Rehabilitation Counsellor

We deliver innovative and successful high-level rehabilitation services. We are seeking additional Rehabilitation Counsellors to facilitate delivery of our substance abuse programs, from awareness, through to counselling and relapse prevention. Service delivery includes within the community, at our Franklin Street facilities, but also to clients who are currently incarcerated.
Candidates must be degree qualified in a relevant Allied Health (e.g., Social Work, Psychology, Developmental Education) and a proven track record in successful substance abuse counselling. Experience or knowledge of Moral Reconation Therapy (MRT) and/or SMART (Self-Management and Recovery training) would be highly regarded.

A copy of the job and person specification is available on our website www.oars.org.au, the role is Level 6 within the SCHADS Award which is currently $96,969 to $101,250 per annum (pro rata for part time staff). Above Award leave entitlements, which are 22 days annual and 12 days sick leave per annum (pro rata), and salary sacrifice options. We are seeking a 0.8 FTE ideally, but open to negotiating full time for the right candidate.
This role is based at Franklin Street in the CBD though, given the administrative nature of the role, there is some capacity to work from other offices spaces after the induction and initial training are completed. Office hours are 09:00 until 17:00 each day, with some flexibility available. Please note we provide pool cars for all client related travel as part of our safe working systems.
