We are delighted to be supporting our client based in Adelaide, SA , to recruit for an experienced Rehabilitation Counsellor for either full-time or part-time positions.
You will be aiding the most in need and delivering a truly holistic service. Spanning across both federal and state jurisdictions, with an established injury and disability health care provider. You will be suitable for this role if you have a background in Rehabilitation counselling, occupational therapy, psychology or social work.
The duties and responsibilities of the Rehabilitation Counsellor will include, but not be limited to:
- Providing Return to Work and Rehabilitation Services compliant with Comcare, DVA and RTWSA frameworks
- Undertaking psychological/biopsychosocial assessments
- Undertaking other psychologically based capacity building services across a client’s life span to address issues which may affect the function, independence and social inclusion of individuals with disability, their families and carers.
- Working with and alongside a multi-disciplinary team to achieve the best quality of life outcome for your client.
In order to be considered for the role, you will have previous experience in a similar role along with:
- Formal qualifications in Occupational Therapy, Psychology, Social Work, or Rehabilitation Counselling
- Full Registration with AHPRA, AASW, or ASORC
- Experienced in delivering Occ. Rehab. Services within Comcare, DVA and/or RTWSA jurisdictions
- Expertise in the assessment and treatment of a wide range of biopsychosocial problems including core competencies in mental health assessment and management using evidence-based interventions
- Demonstrable negotiation and conflict resolution skills
- Current driver’s licence
- DHS Disability Services Employment Check
- DHS Working with Children Check
