The Relationship Room Psychology Services provides evidence-based interventions that allow clients to feel supported and empowered in creating the change they seek through the therapeutic experience. Our practice adopts a warm, non-clinical atmosphere and seeks to set clients at ease from the moment they arrive. Established in 2015, The Relationship Room delivers psychological and therapeutic services with a relationship focus to a range of clientele, including couples, families and individuals.

We are currently seeking a Relationship Therapist to join our team. There is the opportunity to work from our Balmain East clinic and/or Online via Telehealth, offering flexibility to suit your schedule. Applications are open to Registered Psychologists, Clinical Psychologists, Psychotherapists, Counsellors, and Family Therapists, who are passionate about client-centred care.

There is no minimum number of hours or days per week to be considered for this role. We highly value and encourage a work-life balance, therefore work hours per week and start date will be negotiated depending on your availability. This can include a combination of weekdays, evenings and/or weekend work. 

We also offer full time administrative support from our lovely front-desk team who take care of all intake processes. We ensure that your designated clients are the right fit for you, based on your strengths, knowledge and therapeutic style. We are a private-billing practice whose focus is solely on providing effective therapy to our clients. We therefore do not bulk-bill, nor require you to complete assessments, court reports or work with third parties. 

Essential criteria:

▪ Registration with relevant regulatory body (i.e. AHPRA, PACFA, ACA);

▪ Excellent communication and adaptable personality;

▪ Willingness to work flexible hours.

Desirable criteria:

  • Further training in Couples, Family and/or Systemic Therapy.
