We are after someone that has previous experience in a community role supporting students or similar exposure to health and well-being, as well as an interest in supporting a robust events and activities program. This role is rewarding but requires focus and planning as you will need to perform a range of tasks including researching and developing evidence-based programs and policies. Some of your essential skills include strong written and verbal communication skills, good computer skills, solid planning, and organisational skills and a “we care” attitude. Your role, along with the rest of our team will be to champion fostering a safe, secure and healthy living environment for our student residents.

Due to the nature of this role, the successful candidate must be flexible to work outside of of business hours and on weekends, as needed. This is a full time maximum term opportunity to 30 June 2024.
  
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
  
As a Residential Life Coordinator, your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:  

  • Facilitate the coordination of the residence as a community under the guidance of the General Manager (GM) and the Residential Life Manager (RLM)
  • Assist the RLM in the design, development, implementation and management Residential Life and Wellbeing Program ensuring a balanced variety of events
  • Assist the GM and RLM in recruiting, training and management of the Residential Advisor team.
  • Play a key role in monitoring and supporting wellbeing of residents.
  • Aid residents and staff members when problems arise and ensure that they are seen through to completion
  • Maintaining incident records, assisting the General Manager in providing associated reports
  • Provide on-call after-hours assistance as the primary contact for residents in relation to all situations that may arise.
  • Play an active role in the incident response and management team during shift times and after-hours

Our mandatory requirements include:

  • Valid Working Rights in Australia and New Zealand
  • National Police Check
  • Working with Children Check
  • First Aid & CPR Certificate (or willing to obtain)
