The Role
We are hiring Residential Youth Workers to assist with a variety of shifts across multiple organisations in the Moreton Bay region and Sunshine Coast.
ProCare Australia support a number of Residential Out of Home Care providers within Queensland with Labour Hire, giving you the opportunity to work across a variety of key organisations.
As the need and demand of the Community Services sector continues to grow, ProCare Australia are hiring qualified, experienced, flexible, hard working and passionate Residential Youth Workers. Providing trauma informed, strengths based and client-centred support to Children and Young People and their families is fundamental to this role.
Shifts will be offered according to your preferences, skills and experience. Residential Youth Workers must have availability for sleepover shifts and weekend shifts.
Pay Rates & Benefits
- Base salary is paid between $48.03 – $53.85 per hour plus super
- Night and public holiday penalty rates on top of the base rate
- QLeave available for qualifying employees
- Staff are supported by experienced Rostering Consultants
Location
South East Queensland – Sunshine Coast
To Be Successful:
- Minimum completed Certificate IV level qualification in a Youth / Community Service related field or close to completion of a Degree qualification, with placement experience
- Hope and Healing Certificate
- A current LCS check (to support those in licensed care services) or willing to obtain
- Experience as a Residential Youth Worker is essential
- Experience working with Children and Young People with complex and challenging behaviours
- An understanding of trauma and attachment theories
- Well developed verbal and written communication skills, including report writing / case notes
- Current Australian Driver’s License
- Current Blue Card (Paid)
- Current National Police Check (Within 12 Months)
- Current First Aid (completed within the last 3 years) and CPR Certificate (completed within the last 12 months)
- A vehicle with full comprehensive car insurance
- Regular availability for day, sleepover and weekend shifts
Desirable:
- Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (TCI) trained
- NDIS Worker Screening
- Youth Mental Health First Aid
- Experience working with Indigenous and CALD clients
- COVID Vaccination (not essential)
