Thank you for your interest in this multi-discipline position with Safeguards Child and Adolescent Mental Health Response Teams. We are currently only recruiting to a Social Worker Level 3, Clinical Psychologist or Senior Psychologist as we have been successful in filling the additional vacancy needs. 

 

What you’ll be doing 

Plan, coordinate, and implement clinical expertise and extensive specialised knowledge within nursing to provide evidence based, trauma informed and developmentally appropriate assessment and treatment to children and adolescents (0 to 17 years) in acute mental health distress, and their families.

The Safeguards Team is a new dedicated CAMHS resource designed to provide innovative and best practice care to children and adolescents aged 0-17 years experiencing acute mental health distress.  The team is community based and provides rapid, mobile and flexible care to resolve mental health crisis, including assertive outreach, care coordination and time-limited therapeutic interventions.  

The Safeguards Team operates 7 days/week with extended hours on weekdays, and will respond to young people in their schools, homes and communities and in hospital-based settings through face to face, phone and telehealth appointments.

This is a District role based at Tuggerah Business Park. The team hours are: Monday to Friday 12:00 to 20:30 and Saturday to Sunday 09:30 to 19:00. The team work on a rotating roster.
