ABOUT THE ROLE

The overall purpose of this position is to ensure that the Anglican tradition, vision and values of the school are embraced and upheld in all areas of the school community.

The main responsibilities of the Chaplain are twofold:

Teacher of Christian Studies

As a member of the Social Sciences faculty, deliver the Cristian Studies program to Year 7 – 10 students

Youth Ministry

Involvement in the pastoral care of students and Student Leadership Program. Leading Chapel services, outreach programs and voluntary groups  to foster and nurture spiritual growth within the school.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL:

  • be expected to support the traditions, vision and values of the School;
  • be kind, compassionate, inclusive and non-judgmental;
  • have proven ability to successfully work with and inspire teenagers and young people in a very diverse community;
  • have exceptional interpersonal and communication skills;
  • have appropriate tertiary qualifications in Theology or equivalent.
