Counsellor, Mackillop College, Bathurst NSW (Full Time/ Permanent)

Commencing: 19 September 2022

To assist in meeting the growing demand for our well established clinical services, Centacare is currently seeking a Counsellor to join our existing School Wellbeing Team, Bathurst. Reporting to the Management of the Schools Wellbeing Program, the successful candidate will provide therapeutic counselling services to individuals, children and families.

Selection Criteria:

  • Recognised qualification in the field of Psychology/Social Work / Counselling.
  • Demonstrable experience in working with children to address issues such as emotional and psychological trauma, anxiety, depression, life-stage issues, behavioural problems etc.
  • Demonstrable ability in implementing intervention strategies based on sound theoretical frameworks.
  • Demonstrable experience and ability in liaising and working with stakeholders such as referring agencies.
  • Experience in and willingness to work as part of a team.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development.
  • Willingness to work within the Catholic ethos of the organisation.
  • Current Driver’s Licence and willingness to travel.
