The organisation:
A 7-12 campus in a leading catholic school, in the growing City of Casey area – our client partner is looking to grow their expanding team of student wellbeing professionals. School staff work with students to provide best educational and wellbeing outcomes, with a focus on ensuring that their students become successful life-long learners.
The role | Counsellor:
● Provide individual and group counselling to students
● Be a liaison with parents and external agencies regarding their concerns for the child
● Assess student needs and collaboratively develop appropriate case management plans to meet those needs
● Work with the school staff to increase students’ life skills, personal development and social connectedness
● Document contact with students and review progress with ongoing clients
● To be involved (as requested) in the planning, delivery and co-ordination of Personal Development Programs and Seminar days
YOU:
You will be a counsellor with an interest or experience working with adolescents, within a school setting or another workplace environment.
- Relevant counselling qualification (Qualification in Counselling or Social work)
- Experience working with adolescents highly advantageous
- Hold a WWCC or willingness to obtain
- Strong relationship builder and communicator
- Be willing to work and collaborate as part of a wider team of school staff
The Benefits:
- Work school based hours, no evening or weekend work
- 12 weeks school holidays off (paid)
- Time in lieu days for any overtime worked
- End of year bonus, payable each December
- 72-82k base (plus super plus holidays plus bonus)
