School Counsellor/Psychologist – Southern Tasmania
Part Time Maximum Term Position

We offer hope and support through a range of services to assist people cope with life’s unique challenges. An opportunity exists for a registered or provisionally registered psychologist to join the CatholicCare Tasmania School Counselling Team.
The CatholicCare’s School Counselling Program works with the Tasmanian Catholic Education Office through the various Catholic Schools. Work is collaborative with families, the school community and external agencies to ensure interventions to issues impacting on a student’s educational progress and adjustment are proactively and responsively undertaken within the principles of a Promotion, Prevention and Early Intervention Framework.
- Individual counselling and group work activities aimed at promoting children’s social and emotional well-being, whilst also supporting parents/carers and other school staff.
- The position is part time, maximum term position, with the option of full time to engage in additional duties of educational assessments throughout the South of Tasmania.
The successful applicant will have access to individual (board approved supervisors) and peer group supervision, professional development activities, a supportive team as well as career opportunities throughout the organisation. The successful applicant will report directly to the Senior Psychologist with support from the Team Leader within the School Counselling Program.
