The role:
Applications are invited from outstanding registered Psychologists, motivated by meaningful connection, who are eager to join a warm, collaborative, and inclusive team of practitioners providing evidence-based brief intervention to students. This position is permanent full-time commencing Term 1, 2024 (ideally 24 Jan).
- Alongside another registered Psychologist (part-time) and in collaboration with the wider pastoral care cohort, manages a case load across Prep to Year 12 (generally 3-5 sessions before further referral / escalation), promoting social, emotional, and educational development.
- Supports the implementation of proactive and preventative wellbeing initiatives in line with changing needs of students and broader contemporary issues facing girls and young women.
- Supports the update of school policy and procedure as related to Child Safe programs and critical incidents.
- Supports ongoing staff and parent learning around child protection and mental health in general.
- Reports to the Head of Counselling (Lead Psychologist).
- Works all term time (38 weeks) + 10 additional days (WFH flexible) in school holidays, spread across the year (40 weeks total). NB – the salary is paid in full across 52 weeks, not averaged according to 40 weeks worked.
