Northholm Grammar School is seeking a motivated and experienced School Counsellor/Psychologist to join our Pastoral Leadership Team to provide counselling services for students from Years K-12.
Criteria
- Registration as a psychologist with AHPRA.
- Demonstrated ability to work successfully within a self-management framework and respond effectively to complex or demanding clinical matters.
- Demonstrated experience in the assessment and management of complex cognitive and emotional, mental health, and development issues amongst a diverse population of children and adolescents, including case planning and review.
- Strong commitment to ongoing professional development and ethical practice.
- Experience working in schools with children and adolescents aged 5-18 years.
- Experience in providing quality evidence-based services for children, adolescents, and their parents.
- Strong understanding/experience working with young people and families of diverse cultural backgrounds.
- Ability to work with children and adolescents with learning needs.
- Understanding of child protection legislation and guidelines as it applies to schools.
- Demonstrated understanding of contemporary issues and trends in Child Psychology.
