Permanent | Part time | 15 – 22.8 hours per week | From 16 January 2023

Guidance Counsellor | $112,122 – $119,299 per annum plus super, plus benefits (pro rata)

The ideal candidate will have a relevant tertiary qualification in Psychology or Guidance Counselling coupled with a minimum of 2 years’ experience relevant to a school setting. They will possess effective relationship building and influencing skills, advanced interpersonal and communication skills, proven and effective leadership skills, and will be committed to the values and ethos of the Catholic faith.

The Guidance Counsellors will work collaboratively with school communities to provide a counselling service that facilitates learning outcomes for students and enables quality teaching. Based in Charleville, the Guidance Counsellor will also travel to provide counselling services to the following neighbouring schools of the Diocese

  • Sacred Heart Primary School, Cunnamulla | P-6
  • St Finbarr’s School, Quilpie | P-6

During weekends and paid school vacation periods, you will not be required to attend work, however attendance may be required in the event of a critical incident.
