This role will include working within the mental health team ensuring the students needs are met with varying issues such as anxiety, depression, trauma and relationship counselling. Role and responsibilities:
- Build trusting relationships with teenage and young adult students of all backgrounds
- Efficient assessments, therapeutic intervention, counselling and report writing
- Engage with relevant professionals within the university including teachers and support staff
- Successful management of student behaviour, grief and emotions
Successful Applicant will have:
- Current registration within the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency AHPRA
- Experience working with similar clients/issues
- Understanding and experience of the what the position requires listed above along with of the QLD Mental Health Act
- Proven written and verbal communication skills of a high standard with relevant keyboard and computer/computer software skills
