Holy Cross College is a Catholic Co-educational Pre-Kindergarten – Year 12 College located in Ellenbrook, Western Australia.  The College is seeking a School Psychologist to join the staff of this rapidly growing College.

 

About the role

 

This position aims to maximise education outcomes for students by facilitating access to and participation in all aspects of College life, and to utilise psychological expertise in education and learning to support and build the capacity of the school community toward the same goals.

The person will possess a high level of professional skills and the capacity to work with students from Pre-Kindergarten to Year 12. The School Psychologist will work as an integral member of the Inter-relationships Team.

 

Skills and experience

 

SELECTION CRITERIA – Essential

Experience in a similar role or a demonstrated skill set that would complement this role

  • A commitment to the objectives and ethos of Catholic Education
  • The capacity to engage with the LIFE Pillars and fulfill the specific responsibilities as outlined in the Role Description;
  • Excellent interpersonal (written and oral) communication skills;
  • High level of organizational and administrative skills;
  • High level of competence in relevant Information and Communications Technology (ICT) skills (eg use of data bases)
  • The ability to work independently and as a member of a team;
  • Proven ability to show initiative and take direction;
  • The ability to work systematically towards the achievement of strategic objectives;

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Fully registered psychologist, preferably with postgraduate qualifications in educational, clinical or counselling psychology.
  • Accreditation to Work in a Catholic School (or willingness to complete)
  • Maintain a valid Working With Children Check Card
