JOB DESCRIPTION

SCHOOL PSYCHOLOGIST

THE ROLE

Salary: $90,000 – $95,000 + Superannuation + Salary Packaging

Location: Cranbourne East, Victoria

Hours: Open to Full Time or Part Time

We are in search of a dedicated Psychologist. This role involves conducting assessments tailored to mental state, risk, and discipline, as well as offering personalised counselling to students. In this co-located capacity, you’ll enjoy a distinctive opportunity to operate directly from the school campus, providing on-site counselling to students. Referrals will be directed from the school’s well-being team, and your responsibilities will encompass clinical tasks such as delivering ongoing therapeutic services, devising care plans, and furnishing support to College attendees.

Moreover, you’ll play a pivotal role in promoting proactive help-seeking behaviour among young individuals, delivering psycho-educational sessions on matters related to mental health and substance abuse. Facilitating evidence-based group programs for students at the institution will also form a part of your duties. By maintaining close collaboration with school personnel, family members, caregivers, as well as other relevant entities and professionals involved in the welfare of young individuals, you will ensure a cohesive and well-coordinated approach to treatment for your clients.

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA

  • Minimum Registered Psychologist with AHPRA Registration
  • Previous experience as a Psychologist working with children and families
  • Robust skills in early intervention
  • National Police Check or willingness to undergo one
  • Working With Children’s Check or willingness to undergo one
