JOB DESCRIPTION

 

We are recruiting for a Senior Behaviour Support Practitioner.

 

 

The Senior Behaviour Support Practitioner is responsible and accountable for assigned staff.  Additionally, they work collegially with other members of the Management Team and across the organisation to ensure the provision of high quality and efficient services. The role requires key organisational and service skills which include being pro-active, responding quickly to identified issues. The Senior BSP will be required to develop, implement, monitor, and report on operational plans for their assigned portfolio. They do this with a detailed understanding of contemporary service delivery within a person centred services environment, including but not limited to a detailed understanding of the National Disability Insurance Scheme. 

The Senior Behaviour Support Practitioner will meet with clients, conduct assessments, analyse behavioural date to complete functional assessments, and develop Interim and comprehensive support plans and strategies which are monitored and reviewed. 

Another key component is the Practitioners ability to connect with support networks and provide advice, guidance and training on positive behavioural support and client specific strategies. With the emphasis on the continued reduction and review of restrictive practices. 

This position will be located on the North West Coast of Tasmania (Burnie or Devonport), and/or Launceston offering a relaxing and affordable lifestyle with world class wilderness regions and recreational pursuits within close proximity.
