ABOUT THE ROLE:
Rare opportunity to join our team in the fast paced world of acute mental illness. This is a great opportunity to work in a multidisciplinary Crisis Assessment Treatment team.
- This CATT team is based at Werribee Mercy Hospital.
- Fixed term 0.8 EFT.
- CATT provides acute community intervention 7 days per week AM & PM shifts 0800 – 2230hrs.
- The role of the CATT clinician is to provide intensive clinical assessment, treatment and support to clients who are in an acute psychiatric crisis.
- The clinician will form an integral part of a multi-disciplinary team and will be required to provide highly responsive and flexible service to consumers and carers, while upholding a high level of professionalism.
ABOUT YOU:
- An APHRA Registered Nurse, Registered Nurses will also have a Postgraduate Diploma in Nursing Practice (Mental Health).
- At least 5 years’ experience working specifically in Mental Health, either on an inpatient acute unit, as a case manager, forensic care or already having held a position in CATT.
- Experience working as a senior clinician.
- Demonstrated clinical competency in mental state and risk assessments with the ability to prioritise workload and co – ordinate clinical care with other service providers.
- An excellent working knowledge of the Victorian Mental Health Act 2014 and the Victorian state wide Mental Health triage scale.
- You must hold a current Victorian drivers licence.
