The Role: Senior Consultant – Psychologist / Rehab Counsellor / Occupational Therapist – Brisbane.

As industry leaders in complex case management, Strive’s approach has a strong focus on early intervention in our engagement with a number of clients including critical incident response, onsite support and team support services. This role provides the opportunity to join a variety of existing early intervention and mental health prevention projects across Queensland, engaging with clients onsite in their workplace, with a focus on upskilling, training and debriefing. 
 

Key Responsibilities:

Reporting into Strive’s Brisbane Team Leader, you will be tasked with the following:

  • Management of early intervention and mental health prevention project opportunities (up to three days a fortnight)
  • Management and facilitation of various workshops including around resilience and wellbeing, de-escalation, managing vicarious trauma, having difficult conversation
  • An opportunity to be involved in team interventions and thematic analysis of team dynamics to provide innovative solutions to improve team cohesion 
  • Management of a case load of clients with a broad range of psychosocial needs, employee support and manager coaching
  • Case load will include a mix of projects, workshops, workers compensation, state government, DVA, Income Protection and worksite assessments
  • Case load will require travel through the South East Queensland region and at times more broadly through Queensland

Qualifications:

  • Organisational Psychology degree, Psychology degree, Rehabilitation Counsellor diploma, Occupational Therapy degree or relevant tertiary qualification
  • AHPRA registration, full ASORC membership or RCAA membership 
  • Occupational rehabilitation experience is desired but not essential
  • Provisional psychologists are welcome to apply
  • Ideally we are looking for applicants with a minimum of 2 years experience
  • Mediation or Facilitated Discussion experience is also desirable but not essential
