Senior Counselling and Wellbeing Clinician

 Campus base negotiable 

Permanent part time, 64 hours per fortnight 

(hours negotiable)

Allied Health Grade 2 or Psychologist Grade 2

 

East Wimmera Health Service (EWHS) is a fully accredited small rural health service across five campuses encompassing five communities being Birchip, Donald, Charlton, St Arnaud & Wycheproof in the Buloke and Northern Grampians Shires in North Western Victoria.

 

An exciting opportunity is available to join the Community Health team at East Wimmera Health Service as a Senior Counselling and Wellbeing Clinician.

 

The Senior Counselling and Wellbeing Clinician works as part of a multidisciplinary team in delivering counselling to complex consumers in East Wimmera Health Services (EWHS) catchment. The role involves a varied case load working with clients from across the lifespan to provide a high quality service through EWHS’s Community Health, Acute units and Residential Aged Care Facility’s.

 

Familiarity with consumer-driven practice, adaptability and flexibility in psychological practice and respect for diversity will be highly regarded. Ideally the candidate will be able to demonstrate an understanding of peer support models and holistic care.

The role will be supported with Clinical supervision.

 

The Senior Counselling and Wellbeing Clinician is also responsible for providing effective leadership to a small staff team and manage the day-to-day service operations and travel between our five small multi-purpose hospital campuses is required.
