A role with unique responsibilities
Our Consellors play a crucial role in a patient’s journey. Your are responsible for providing quality counselling services to our patients seeking fertility treatment in our Sydney CBD and Bondi Junction clinics. With exceptional service and care, you will directly enhance the patient experience. Under guidance from the Patient Services Manager, your responsibilities include:

  • Providing excellent service and care to Monash IVF patients and clients
  • Fulfiling the role of Senior Counsellor, as per RTAC Code of Practice, including adherance towards legistative requirements 
  • Maintaining ANZICA membership
  • Driving counselling and patient support aspects of policies, processes and continuous improvement activities
  • Respecting the confidentiality requirements of all patients 
  • Maintaining professional notes and records and producing weekly reports and feedback towards counselling services and activity 
  • Esculating concerned cases or potential risks within the appropriate channels
  • Delivering patient education services and in-service seminars internally
  • Meeting productivity, performance and compliance expectations
  • Collaborating with others to achieve the Monash IVF Group Mission and committing to continuous improvement  

Are you the ideal candidate for us?
The ideal candidate will see their role as vital to the success of the organisation. Understanding there are ups and down in reproductive health, the Senior Counsellor will be sensitive to the needs of patients and will endeavour to maintain a critical eye to detail and focus on patient outcomes. Ideally you will bring the following:

  • Tertiary qualifications in a health science or related discipline
  • Post Graduate qualification in Psychology or graduate qualification in Social Work
  • Registration with the Psychologist (essential)
  • ANZICA membership (essential)
  • Satisfactory National Police Clearance 
  • Highly skilled in all facets of counselling 
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation including Assisted Reproductive Treatment Act 2007
  • Knowledge of donor and surrogacy programs
  • Advanced Microsoft Office Skills where applicable
  • Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Well-developed communication skills and interpersonal skills
  • An orientation to focus on patient outcomes
