About the role:

Anglicare has an exciting opportunity for a permanent part time, 3 days per week Senior Counsellor to join our team in Summer Hill. You will be undertaking a range of Counselling services which aim to provide support to clients experiencing family and relationship challenges. This position is paid under SCHADS 5.1 $44.92 per hour (for counsellors with a minimum of 750 client hours)

Key responsibilities (not limited to):

  • Provision of face to face and online individual and couple counselling incorporating assessment of risk and safety planning
  • Provision of child, adolescent and family counselling (if trained)
  • Ensure individual needs of client are met by providing a case plan that is developed with the client, is clearly defined and with achievable outcomes.
  • Ensure a full client caseload is maintained by working within funding guideline and program targets
  • Ensure the best possible outcome for clients is achieved by advocating for clients, establishing strong network links within local area to provide strong external referral pathways and developing strong partnerships with the church as a support resource

 

About you:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Psychology, Social Work or Counselling plus 750 hours of counselling experience
  • NSW Drivers licence
  • Member of AASW, APS or organisations registered with PACFA
  • Training and clinical experience in family and relationship counselling
  • Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills  
  • Current Working with Children’s Check NSW Driver License
  • Covid-19 vaccination is a mandatory requirement unless assessed exempt
