Bradfield is a senior secondary school within TAFE NSW delivering HSC and vocational courses with a focus on the creative industries. The opportunity

Do you want to work in an innovative senior high school that is using real world learning to help prepare students for future study and work?

As a Senior Counsellor you are responsible for the delivery of efficient and appropriate counselling services for Bradfield students. You will identify and determine service priorities; manage counselling services, staff, and resource allocation; develop external relationships with other providers/services; and provide educational consultancy and/or staff development programs for identified stakeholders.

About you

  1. Eligible for registration with Psychology Board of Australia and a recognised degree with a Major in Psychology or equivalent.
  2. Substantial experience in the provision of counselling services, crisis work and group work, preferably in an educational setting.
  3. Effective and flexible communication, negotiation, and liaison skills

A key focus for the Senior Counsellor is balancing time spent with one-on-one counselling and that of identifying trends, advising staff and implementing and engaging in whole of college programs to respond to emerging needs of the 15-19 year old age group.
