Relationships Australia NSW (RANSW) provides a safe, judgement-free environment where individuals, couples and families can address the critical matters impacting their relationships, and their lives.
What you’ll do
You’ll provide high-quality therapy to couples, families and individuals, to support them to address issues impacting their lives and relationships. This can include strengthening relationships, decreasing conflict, improving communication, addressing DFV (Domestic & Family Violence) in relationships, improving mental health, and addressing child-protection concerns to keep children safe. You’ll be competent and experienced in using a family systems framework and integrate other models in your counselling, as well as provide information and referrals to improve the wellbeing of your clients. Sessions will be delivered in person, online, or over the phone to meet client preference and needs when possible. You’ll work closely with the Team Leader and fellow Senior Counsellor to share supervisory responsibilities of the counsellors in the team as required.
What you’ll bring
- Postgrad Relationship Counselling or Couple & Family Counselling qualifications
- Registration with APHRA, AASW, PACFA or ACA
- Experience supervising clinicians as well as experience working with couples, individuals and families using a robust Family Systems clinical framework
- Strong understanding of family dynamics, child protection, DFV, mental health, and addiction
- A calm, professional and compassionate approach when engaging with clients and team members
The details
- 3 days per week based at Macquarie Park
- Flexibility to work during regular business hours (9am-5pm), as well as later starts/finishes (11am-7pm)
- Permanent contract
- $47 – $48 per hour plus super and salary packaging benefits
