About the opportunity
We have an opportunity for a Senior Family Services Practitioner to join our Integrated Family Services Program.
The Integrated Family Services Program supports families who are experiencing high levels of stress and difficulties that impact on parenting, family life and children’s well being. Responding to referrals from The Orange Door, the program provides assertive outreach and home based supports.
As a Senior Family Services Practitioner, you will support the Team Leader in managing workflows and provide guidance and mentoring support to Practitioners within the team. The role will carry a caseload and provide intensive case management support to families who present with a higher level of complexity. Working collaboratively with Child Protection and other agencies, the Senior Practitioner will support families to enhance parenting capacity, family functioning and promote child safety.

About you
To be successful in your application you will meet the person specification in the position description, including having a relevant tertiary qualification in social work, psychology or a related discipline.
You will also have:
- Extensive case management experience within the child, youth and family welfare sector
- Well-developed understanding of the Children, Youth and Families Act 2005 and Best Interest Principles
- Previous experience providing mentoring support to staff and/or students
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with other services, agencies and professionals to achieve successful client outcomes
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to form effective working relationships and foster a positive team culture
