The Salvation Army Australia’s Family Violence Stream provides a wide range of services around the country to support women and women with children impacted by family and domestic violence.
A LITTLE ABOUT THE ROLE
This Ideal candidate will provide case management support to women, families and children who have experienced and/ or are currently experiencing family violence within a refuge and via outreach in the Karratha area. The role also encompasses the delivery of assessment, crisis response, comprehensive risk and safety planning.
Due to the outreach component of this role, there is a requirement to work autonomously while reporting to the Team Leader. It is critical that you undertake comprehensive assessments for home and outreach appointment.
You will be in instrumental in delivering high quality, safe and effective family violence and child well-being responses to those seeking support, safety, and recovery along with supporting the refuge team to implement best practice.
This is a full time position based Karratha.
THE ROLE YOU WILL PLAY
- Effective relationships are established with clients that encourage self-determination and participation
- Reflective practice and support to team is provided to the refuge staff
- Case management support is provided to clients in accordance with TSA FV Model of Care and Case Management model which meet the standards of best practice
- Case management is delivered to address individual needs and circumstances from initial intake to exit
- Individual case plans are developed in collaboration with clients and include a range of interventions that address the needs or goals of clients
- Outreach is underpinned by comprehensive risk analysis and planning
- Progress and outcomes of individual case plans are regularly monitored and reviewed and where needed action is taken to ensure the plan continues to meet client needs or goals
The Salvation Army is subject to public health orders. You may be required to provide evidence of vaccine status dependent on requirements.
WHAT YOU WILL BRING
- A tertiary qualification in Social Work or related field.
- Experience working in the family violence sector is desirable.
- Highly developed time management and work prioritisation skills with an ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision required
- A valid Employee Working with Children Check
- A current First Aid Certificate with CPR
- A WA drivers licence
- A willingness to undergo a National Police Check
