Senior Manager, Young People and Families Eden Ritchie Recruitment

JOB DESCRIPTION

Senior Manager – Young People and Families

The Australian Government’s national mental health reform agenda aims to make the best possible use of all available mental health services and resources. The position supports the implementation of the staged care approach across the Healthy North Coast (HNC) footprint from Port Macquarie to Tweed Heads.

  • Location negotiable – Ballina, Tweed Heads, Lismore, Coffs Harbour, or Port Macquarie
  • Full-time Monday – Friday (38 hrs per week) with some flexibility
  • Attractive Annual Salary of $107,988 (including salary packaging of up to $15,900 per annum) plus superannuation.

“HNC is committed to improving and sustaining employment outcomes for people from diverse backgrounds. We recognise the knowledge, insights, and capabilities of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. Their strength, resilience and cultural competence are highly valued. HNC is committed to culturally safe recruitment practices”.

Healthy North Coast (www.hnc.org.au) is a not-for-profit organisation operating as one of 31 local, independent Primary Health Networks (PHNs) funded by the Australian Government to streamline primary health services and improve community health outcomes, especially for vulnerable populations.  Healthy North Coast delivers the PHN Program across the stunning North Coast region and works in partnership with primary health care providers in general practice, pharmacy, mental health, and other allied health sectors.

About the role

A key element of this approach is to shape the commissioning of services based on evidence-informed best practice for all people, including those requiring early intervention and self-help support through to those who need complex or more coordinated mental health and wellbeing supports.

The Senior Manager Young People and Families will ensure HNC funded services are person-centred, and recovery focused in a way that responds to individual needs and preferences, while also addressing wider prevention or management issues that impact on critical psychosocial and/or clinical demands within the region.

The Senior Manager will be responsible for leading HNC’s headspace provision across the whole of the North Coast region, working alongside six established headspace services to ensure they are delivering care to young people, aligned with the model of care.
