Key position Responsibilities, Duties and Accountabilities
* Engage participants and develop trusting and professional relationships
* Engage participants, using a strengths-based approach to complete a comprehensive mental health assessment
* Provide evidence based and informed care from a holistic approach for short to medium term care
* Provide clinical assessments and brief interventions
* Work within a holistic framework taking into account the needs of participants, family, carers and other members of the community in order to ensure tangible outcomes
* Provide clinical assessments and brief interventions for adults and younger people accessing the service
* Demonstrated ability to effectively perform in an environment of change, to be creative when problem solving and work to timelines
* Work to the principles of the Gayaa Dhuwi (Proud Spirit) Declaration in the development and delivery of services to ensure culturally safe services for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people
* Ensure records management obligations are met. This includes the retention of hardcopy and/or electronic records and ensuring files are accurate and kept up-to-date
* Commit to understanding service consumer data requirements and to collaborate with participants to gather relevant data
* Consider individual and aggregated data to inform practice and continuous service improvement
* An understanding of trauma informed care
Essential Criteria
– ASSW (will accept eligibility) or APRHA registration
– At least 3 years experience in the Adult Mental Health sector
– Current drivers license and own vehicle
