RA Tas is looking for a tertiary qualified, dedicated and experienced Senior Practitioner within the Post Separation Services.  The Senior Practitioner will provide expertise and sound judgment in offering direction to staff, and to contribute to high standards of professional practice within the team, including supervision. 

This role will provide therapeutic support for families that are separated, separating or in dispute to improve their relationships and make arrangements in the best interests of their children.    

Do you fit the bill?

Demonstrated experience and Degree qualification in one or more of the following areas that are recognised to deliver counselling services: 

  • Social sciences, psychology or social work.
  • An understanding of child development and the impact of family separation on children, and experience in working to uphold the best interests of children.
  • Experience working with cases involving high conflict, involuntary clients and/or families following separation.
  • Extensive experience in providing therapeutic interventions.
  • The knowledge and capacity to assess and manage complex cases involving ethical dilemmas and duty of care matters, risk assessment, child protection and FV issues.
  • Experience in Psycho-educational program delivery to clients.
