Senior Psychologist (Telehealth) Mantle Health

JOB DESCRIPTION

About us

Mantle (www.mantlehealth.com.au) is a relatively young, yet established video telehealth psychology practice. Our Vision is to help men to become better partners, fathers, leaders, brothers, colleauges and friends; to improve the lives of men and those around them. Mantle’s psychologists all have experience working within male dominated environments and undergo specific training to engage and keep men engaged in therapy. We provide services to clients Australia-wide at a time and a place that better suits them and are now looking to make it easier for psychologists to work the way they want through reducing administration load.

About the role

We have an exciting new opportunity for experienced  Psychologists to join Team Mantle, on either a contract or part-time basis. This role is ideal for those professionals with both experience and a keen interest in men’s mental health, and a willingness to continue to learn and develop their skills in this specialist area. Operating for almost two years, our client load continues to grow as we establish referral partnerships with a range of organisations. We want to bring on board additional like-minded psychologists to help achieve our vision, and we will pay above market rate for the right psychologists.

As we are a telehealth only psychology practice, you can conduct your sessions from wherever you want (noting confidentiality) and have a high degree of flexibility to structure your working week.  We are not a crisis-oriented service and there is no expectation that you will be available for bookings made on the same day, but we generally expect that you would be able to provide a minimum of 10 hours per week as a contractor, or at least 0.5 FTE as an employee. Our operating hours are 7:00am – 8:00pm AEDT Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 3:00pm Saturday  with some capacity to increase hours over the next twelve months.

About you

  • 10 years’ experience in mental health (negotiable).
  • Full AHPRA registration.
  • Experience in male oriented environments.
  • Tech savvy and familiar working with video telehealth platforms (preferred).
  • High level of integrity – you are honest and trustworthy.
  • You have your own ABN (or willing to obtain).
  • Professional Indemnity and Public Liability Insurance.
  • Current Police Check (or able to obtain).
  • A passion for men’s mental health, motivation to continue learning, and assist clients to become better partners, fathers, leaders, brothers, colleagues and friends.

Why join Mantle?

  • You will have flexibility to commit your time to Mantle around other work and/or family commitments.
  • You will be paid at a competitive, above-market rate in line with your experience.
  • You will complete evidence-informed training on men’s mental health and telehealth psychology as a part of your onboarding.
  • We will provide you with top-level administrative support and a client load.
  • We are a group made up of supportive professionals that believe in what we are doing.
  • We are keen to learn from our collective experiences; we aim to meet regularly for peer supervision and formal professional development opportunities with guest speakers at no cost to you.
  • We are a well supported business with exciting and significant growth opportunities, established to address a key societal issue.

What’s next?

  1. Contact us at [email protected] with any questions you may have, & one of the team will get in touch.
  2. Submit an EOI, including your CV to us at [email protected] by 6pm AEDT Friday, 23rd September 2022.
  3. Expected start date will be mid-late October 2022.
