Senior Specialist Family Violence Practitioner Tradewind Australia

JOB DESCRIPTION

Seeking Senior Family Violence Practitioners in the to join a multi-disciplinary team. This role will support the incoming referrals to the Orange Door, assessing risk and triaging appropriately for the Intake and Assessment team.

You will:

  • Train and mentor new and existing Specialist Family Violence Practitioners and service partner staff
  • Undertake case coordination and management
  • Assess and respond to family violence risk using the MARAM framework to support the safety of victim survivors
  • Identify and assess risk and needs of women and children and families
  • Work collaboratively with relevant service providers

You must have:

  • A degree in Social Work, Psychology or a related tertiary qualification relevant to child and family welfare.
  • Previous experience working with children, youth & families.
  • A solid understanding of the principles and practices relevant to the Family Violence sector
  • The ability to undertake risk assessments and safety planning.
