Senior Speech Therapist – Saturday work Brilliant Minds Psychology

JOB DESCRIPTION

We have 3 positions available for – Senior Speech Therapist – Saturday work (Contracting roles).

An excellent opportunity to join our fun and professional team at Brilliant Minds Psychology based in Springwood in Qld has become available. 

We are a team of psychologists and occupational therapists and looking to expand to include Speech Therapists. We are looking for driven and innovative Senior  Speech – Language Pathologist  to work every Saturday or alternative Saturday’s.

You must be able to take lead and be a pro-active team member. You will have key performance indicators (KPI’s) to achieve each week. Must be able to see 6-7 clients on a Saturday. We are a busy clinic, and must have excellent skills, and time management.

You must be able to provide assessment and  evidence based intervention to children, adolescents and adults with varying diagnosis including. We have have a speech and language assessment kits including CELF-5.

 

Speech Therapist Role includes

  • Experience working with individuals with an autism spectrum condition.
  • Trained and experience with main speech and language assessments including CELF-5.
  • ADOS-2 Training/Experience (highly desirable) but can be trained on-site.
  • Assessment using evidence based reliable measures.
  • Assessment and intervention for individuals with Language Disorders
  • Communication disorders, learning difficulties and language delays
  • Issues with articulation and stuttering
  • Phonological difficulties
  • Trained in a variety of therapy approaches suitable for children with autism and other developmental difficulties such as TEACCH, Hannan Program, and other articulation and phonological therapy. 
  • Trained in Lidcombe program (desirable)

We are a registered NDIS provider, as such you will be providing services under both Medicare and under NDIS. An understanding of the NDIS would be advantageous but not necessary. Training under NDIS modules will be provided.

Requirements of the role:

  • At least 3 years experience as a paediatric Speech Pathologist (unfortunately no new graduates can be considered for this role)
  • A recognised degree in Speech Pathology
  • Membership with Speech Pathology Australia as a certified practicing Speech Pathologist
  • Current Working with Children Check and Police Check
  • Queensland Drivers licence and own vehicle
  • Start date January or February 2024
  • Must have external supervision.
  • Ethical practice.
