Service Delivery Coordinator – Regional Domestic and Family Violence Service Centacare

The Role:
  
Centacare Family and Relationship Services is seeking to appoint a suitably qualified professional who would welcome the challenge of taking on a leadership role on the beautiful Sunshine Coast.
  
This is a full time Coordinator position which will oversee the state funded Sunshine Coast Regional Domestic and Family Violence Service, and Domestic Violence Court Support programs for women in the Caloundra, Maroochydore and Noosa Courts.
  
In a complex and diverse operational and geographical environment, the successful candidate will be one of two Coordinators who report to the Centacare Family and Relationship Services Area Manager, Sunshine Coast. The position will primarily be located in Maroochydore, but may entail some travel across the Sunshine Coast and Noosa LGAs.
  
This is a great opportunity to join Centacare, lead a dedicated team and coordinate service delivery for women at risk of, or experiencing, domestic and family violence. The position is be responsible for working with local agencies and Court stakeholders, facilitating local DVCAM high risk team meetings and overseeing groups offered to women.  

Essential requirements for the role:

  • relevant tertiary qualifications in Social Work, Psychology, Social or Behavioural Sciences, from a recognised tertiary institution;
  • eligibility for membership of APS, AASW or similar recognised professional association;
  • have a current Blue Card – or be eligible to apply;
  • have a current driver’s licence;
  • agree, if offered employment, to Centacare conducting an Australian Federal Police Criminal History Check;
  • agree to sign a statutory declaration stating that you have no overseas criminal offences;
  • have Australian Work Rights – Australian citizenship/Visa documentary evidence. If so, to be provided at interview (please contact us for details if needed);
  • proof of COVID-19 Vaccination.

Skills and Experience:

  • demonstrated articulation of a well-developed practice framework and its relevance for supporting individuals impacted by family and domestic violence;
  • well-developed applied understanding of the Domestic and Family Violence Act, Child Protection Act and Family Law Act, as well as demonstrated skills and experience in crisis counselling and intervention;
  • an understanding of the domestic violence Court context, and a demonstrated record of achievement in program efficiency, effectiveness and continuous improvement;
  • knowledge of, and experience in the development and delivery of education and training to diverse stakeholders and age groups, including adult learning principles;
  • demonstrated skills and experience in providing intake, risk assessments, DVO assistance and safety planning;
  • knowledge, skills and experience in the provision of brief solution-focused counselling and psycho-educational and therapeutic groups for women and children impacted by domestic and family violence;
  • extensive knowledge of Domestic Violence Legislation, Child Safety Legislation and the Family Law Act; and
  • well-developed written work including report writing, case notes, data collection, data entry and computer literacy skills.

  
Remuneration:

Remuneration for this position is paid in accordance with the Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Services Industry Award, with the base salary commencing at Level 7.1.

In this role, a vehicle can be packaged for work and private use.
