Caraniche are looking for a qualified AOD clinician to provide complex AOD treatment to community-based offenders as part of their Drug Court Order.
About The Role
- Deliver treatment to a client population presenting with a range of substance use issues, all of whom have a forensic/offending history and clinical and mental health issues.
- Provide long term treatment to a small caseload of clients through individual and group treatment.
- Attend weekly case conferencing led by a Magistrate to discuss participants, present clinical issues and trends, provide updates on progress, and provide clinical recommendations in the management of participants.
- Work within a collaborative, multidisciplinary team
What you must have to apply for this role
- Psychology or Social Work qualification (preferred)
- Experienced AOD Clinician working with forensic or mental health providing intervention to complex clients
- Experience in clinical, forensic assessment, case formulation and treatment
- High level of interpersonal and collaboration skills; able to work within multidisciplinary team.
The Drug Courts in Victoria are a therapeutic court which differ from traditional court methods and ideologies. It is a multi‐disciplinary and multi departmental response to drug dependency and drug related crime and emphasises a therapeutic response to these issues.
