MCWA currently has an opportunity for a social engagement coordinator who is is confident in supporting our under 65 year old social group.

About the role

We currently have an exciting opportunity for an experienced and committed Social Engagement Coordinator who will work directly with our under 65 year old clients through weekly outings around Melbourne and Victoria. Your role will include coordinating the visits, attend all visits, and support clients whilst on weekly outings. Our current clients are all low needs clients, however from time to time they may need personal support. 

Responsibilities for this position include but are not limited to:

  • Design and manage the weekly outings activities
  • Assist with scheduling client transport
  • Assist clients with personal care needs 
  • Supervise and support our volunteers on the day
  • Managing the attendance list
  • Managing the safety of all clients on social outings
  • Maintains a client centered approach to service delivery

To be considered for this role, you must have: 

  • Minimum of Certificate III in Home Care, Individual support or equivalent
  • Speaking and understand the Macedonian language 
  • First aid certificate (Level 2)
  • Valid police check certificate
  • Have a min of two does of the COVID vaccine 
  • Have good communication skills
  • Well developed problem solving and decision making skills
  • Interpersonal and teamwork skills
  • Ability to respond sensitively to the needs of clients
  • Understand the importance of maintaining a Duty of Care
