Barwon Health provides a public, clinical, mental health drug and alcohol service for people living in the Barwon region (Including Greater Geelong, the Bellarine, Surf Coast and Colac-Otway regions). We deliver a range of specialist community and hospital-based services for all ages who are experiencing mental health and/or drug and alcohol challenges.

About the Role

This role forms part of a therapeutic team delivering group, family and individual interventions to the client group. The Social Worker will have a specific focus on people with complex needs, including working with the community case manager/primary nurses and relevant community services on issues of housing, employment, financial matters, family (including dependent children), peer relationships and social isolation due to the impact of trauma, stigma and discrimination. The Social Worker will operate within a multidisciplinary framework contributing to assessment and treatment planning within the service.
