What you’ll be doing
Provide a high quality Social Work service to consumers, carers and families within Royal north Shore Hospital.

Candidates will need to meet the following criteria:

- Social Work degree and eligibility for the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW), including the ability to demonstrate a practical application of the AASW Code of Ethics.
- Demonstrated well developed interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate with internal and external stakeholders.
- Proven ability to work independently and to establish effective collaborative working relationships within a multi-disciplinary team and interagency networks.
- Demonstrated skills and knowledge in assessment, counselling and therapy interventions, crisis management, case management, advocacy and Complex discharge planning.
- Demonstrated experience in the provision of a social work service to persons, their families and carers with complex social situations including Trauma, End Of life , Bereavement, Domestic Violence, Child Protection , Guardianship, Aged and disability systems.
- Commitment to participation in professional development and quality improvement activities.
- Demonstrated ability to prioritise and manage workload demands, meet deadlines and complete activities (including ability to work within scope of practice and seek assistance when required).
