Social Worker
Permanent part-time position available at Dudley Private Hospital
About the Role
You will be working within our multidisciplinary team on our General Ward with rehab, medical and surgical patients.
You will be responsible for providing high quality, direct social work services to patients as required. This includes counselling, access to support services, discharge planning and community follow up.
About You
To be successful in this role you will be a compassionate professional with excellent communication skills. You will demonstrate good professional reasoning and sound judgement in decision making, consider implications and long-term patient impact.
You will also hold the following skills and experience:
- Degree in Social Studies or similar relevant qualifications in relevant specialty Allied Health area
- Previous experience working within a General Ward or similar
- Ability to work collaboratively and effectively in a multidisciplinary team
- Demonstrate initiate and creative thinking
- Act as a professional role model when dealing with internal and external customers
Desirable:
- Post-graduate qualifications in Allied Health
